Budget Law No. 324 been published in the Official Gazette appendix no.7 dated 15 February 2024. The law included changes to the structure of intellectual property rights shortening the trademark protection term from 15 to 10 years. This change applies on pending and all applications deposited as of 15 February 2024. Trademarks filed before given date continue to enjoy 15 year protection term. The law No.324 also reckoned an increase in the official fees for filing, registration, renewal and recordal of intellectual property rights.
