Trademark Office in Iraq decided to cease use of the local sub-class system and adopt instead the Nice Classification method (11th Edition) as of the 14th of January 2025. This over change is of importance allowing smoother compliance and handlings of variable IP matters as regards trademarks. The Trademark Office is to set structure for matching sub-class classification system of existing trademarks with the 11th Edition of Nice classification method. Accordingly the Trademark office shall amend the official fees thereto. As new updates are available we will forward same in due course.
